Album is a grower for sure.
Took me a few listens admittedly to have that “aha!” moment but when it clicked, it was so satisfying.

Ngl, I have noticed a trend of rappers getting more deep/personal with their albums
But I think it's attributable to Jay with 4:44, niggas were calling Mr Morale the schizophrenic 4:44 the day it dropped- May 5Ghost OG

I'm kinda whatever about Cameras, but it is an important track on the album. Isaiah and Fike's verses in a way explain how Zay even got into recording sextapes. It preceding Act Normal, which gets into his p*** and s***addictions, makes a lot of sense.

because its very deep and introspective/personal self reflection. hes talking about personal and family issues growing up and what caused him to be the way he is.

it isnt that he invented it, it just sounds like the inspiration for this album and has a similar tone and theme. Mr Morale is more family centric and discusses deep trauma and sexuality etc more so than most other introspective albums.

It may be personal, but it’s not very deep. It’s not much different from Zay’s other albums.
