he is clinically diagnosed as bipolar. this isn't speculation. this isn't a convenient get out of jail free card. this is a legitimate diagnosis from what I assume to be some of the best doctors money can buy.

for years he fought this diagnosis and refused to take the medication that treats the illness leading to s*** like what happened last year.

in my opinion accepting help and drowning himself in the medication needed to treat the disease at the expense of losing a lot mental and physical aspects of his life is a plenty fine apology.

Don’t need the best doctors money can buy to have told you that man

I’m not subscribing to the belief that accepting help is such a noble thing—it’s a responsibility as an adult man that every one of us needs to accept at one time or another. He did it too late. I’m sure fame stunted his priorities in that lane and he was surrounded by yes-men who allowed his poor decisions for too long. They were still decisions. I’m glad he’s doing better and I love his music, but he doesn’t need my money.

Celeb worship really gon be the death of us.

This dont really got s*** to do with ye but it is a couple users in this exact thread that be on that moral high horsing with other artists that just turn it off for the man that gave us jesus walks lmao

And that man was a big influence too but @Urameshii made a great great point not even from a hateful place (funny nobody replied to her) that as dope as this experience it would be cool if like some of the proceeds went to the demographics of folks that he hurt.

nah all the proceeds are going to getting kinky! Diddy’s release date just got pushed up, they gone see

for sure. I agree it was pretty clear but I also think there's a large crowd of people who think he threw the stones and then hid behind a shield of mental health to exonerate himself.

I'm not saying it's noble, but it's extremely hard to do and it's also hard to expect true accountability and acceptance from a manic person. he shouldn't be patted on the back for it but I also don't think it should be held against him given his lack of a sound mind.

stangely enough, i have a friend who REALLY loves that song. like we went to the vultures listening party, she heard it and fell in love. she been beggin for that song foreverrr she was jealous he played it last night

New “Cassie got knocked the f*** out” hoodies otw

  • Definitely one of his craziest stage designs but is he still using a backing track? Breath control up?

Until the performances actually compare to his prime era, then no

  • When was he cancelled by mainstream music lol he can drop whenever he wants

    And no
The stage is cool until you realize he can't move further than his tether and that hinders the performance a ton
As someone who went to a show and thought it was good

Second this. His stage presence lacks a bit from videos. At least compared to Pablo where he was extremely animated on stage

  • Some dude on Substack wrote a pretty nice piece on this tour. Think it was a bit preachy but also valid while not diminishing that it is quite a good show

Pablo is def the worst show of his I been to

Nobody who went to that show gave a s*** bout what Ye was doing. We was just jamming to the music. There was no spectacle

The floating stage wasn’t a spectacle ? I don’t know about that. I guess I gotta get to this tour bexause I have a totally different interpretation of it from videos. THIS seems like the vibes tour. The stage design is immaculate, but he’s limited up there, and his rapping doesn’t appear to be as crisp as it was on the Pablo tour. Minimal backing track, knowing the words to every song

  • I’ve went on whole ass rants on here about how rapping with no backing track, and getting every word right, is FAR from what makes a show complete. But I’ve seen ye stumble through a lot of the none regular songs he pulls out

  • Can the powers that be please let him do MetLife this summer 👍

    as someone who was at

    The Wall (coachella festival run)
    Revel / 7 Screen Winter 13/14 Run
    Yeezus
    Yeezus Festival Run
    Pablo
    This Tour

I rank this tour behind Yeezus & The Wall but above the others

Undoubtedly the greatest stadium run in hip-hop history though

Revel show is an INSANE pull. Kudos

  • Saw him at sofi and was amazing
Def buying a ticket for phoenix in november

not really. At some point it’s just a guy standing on a little platform that slowly moves around. It’s cool for the first 10-15 mins but then it’s just kinda a dance party for the rest of it

Compare that to WTT or Yeezus where there are consistently staging / lighting changes throughout and it just doesn’t stack up

Even here the stage is such a gigantic spectacle but there also are tons of dynamic things going on with lighting, fireworks, etc

  • phil trout

He did nothing to warrant a redemption tour deserving of praise. He’s a great performer with classic albums, and still my GOAT, but I will never support him with my hard earned money again.
