niche rich people stuff is irrelevant to the general public. This is the issue the Carter's had

If he intends to make something mainstream and not just out of passion he shouldn't rap bout that but I don't think he does

Y’all really bullied OP into him trippin

Don’t worry OP, Tyler stans just get on here frustrated at they suburban life , s all good

  • Aug 19, 2021

I don't think that's the issue. Plenty of materialistic raps are amazing. Honestly, if you aren't jiving with a guy's bars it's probably not because of his ideology. Tons of rappers espouse terrible ideas. It's how you get them across that hits or not.

I don't think his brags are grand enough nor is his struggle that he qualifies it anything new. Nobody is going to outdo Biggie on Juicy. You might as well find a new angle instead of just filling out the template with your own s***.

Personally I like the production a lot. But at this point I’m willing to say f*** Tyler the creator for OP’s sake.

  • Tbh when I first listened I just wanted to get rich which means a lot to young black men its positive motivation if you take it that way

It was an album of a materialistic mindset from Tyler but I feel like he also wrapped that in being emotionally scarred from a failed relationship with a friends girlfriend ("remembered I was rich so I bought me some new emotions, and a new boat cuz I'd rather cry in the ocean"). I also think he just wanted to talk some s*** of being wealthy like other rappers and being able to do it on a bigger scale. He just wants people to know he got it like that.

It’s the first important Gangsta Grillz since the blog era died

also probably tyler’s hardest effort to appeal to more than the people who would go to Golf Wang Fest lmao or whatever anyway

This is it. Hence the traveling theme it's a form of escapism and coping he even told his fans to do everything they like or brings them joy while bumping it
