Hate into Reminder is truly one of the worst 1-2 punches on any rap album
Their flow on Hate is weird at first and both Jay & Ye use it for the whole song but idk I like it
No person arguing in good faith is actually convinced jay isnt a GOAT
There are only two good faith arguments for goat rapper - Jay and Wayne.
he was lowkey dissing Ron Browz and not t-pain. nigga was committing war crimes with autotune and i know hov was sick of hearing this in the club
!https://youtu.be/pqD9wSPwTP0i remember this from gta 4
s*** actually hard
he thought he killed autotone fr
This still funny to me
Jay is the better rapper but that title belongs to Drake pretty easily
Eh I’m not saying I disagree but they’re so close it’s kinda semantics to think it’s laughable to say the answer is Jay. Plus Jay’s quotables are more quoted than Drake’s
And regarding quotables, regardless of who has the most quotables…Pac is the most quotable rapper ever and it isn’t close (despite not having the highest amount). Nobody’s quotables are nearly as quoted as his, and he has the most after Drake/Jay/Wayne
Jay catalog full of filler and duds, masked by a handful of hot singles that popped either because A) pop singer hook or B) Kanye/production. His marketing is truly out of this world tbh
You can troll better than this
I hate the idea of someone s***ting on pitch correction.
It’s literally just an added technology that humanity developed to either make a great performance even better by smoothing out some flaws, or give new life to a performance by creating a cool effect that resonates with people.
There’s literally nothing wrong with pitch correction, or “autotune” and people who rag on it sound like geezers
At that time he wasnt necessarily s***tin on it because of its effects as a tool more so for the sound being a “trend” also it wasn’t utilized as well as it is now where that s*** sounds damn near seamless. In retrospect yeah it’s an L but at the time no one thought so and it worked.
Jay z was never that nigga as much as he thought he was.
Dude tried to make platinum jewelry and button up shirts a thing and failed
You can literally look up that era and see niggas either A. Rockin platinum jewelry or B wearing button ups in the club lol nvm you Niggas are Gen Z so I get it.
Charles got more great albums in 2008 than Hov has in his career
One of Charles biggest influences is Hov lol he wouldn’t even say this.

!https://youtu.be/pqD9wSPwTP0They don’t know bruh lol Twitter told them to dislike Jay Z
I’m glad Jay-Z killed garbage autotune “rappers” with this song and told mumble to shove it where the sun don’t shine!
What are you even talking about lol?
Were you even around during Jay-Z’s prime?
Everybody was trying to get Iceberg clothing. Then everybody was wearing RocAWear, then everybody was wearing baggy buttonups.
Jay had so much impact on the culture during his prime.
Sometimes I think y’all say stuff just to say it and hope that people latch on
They get these takes from Jay haters off twitter man
One of Charles biggest influences is Hov lol he wouldn’t even say this.
Charles would definitely say he has more great projects than Hov does I would think
It’s just math, Hov has 13 albums, even if you say all of them are great (lol), Charles easily has more than 13 great projects
Imo in 08-09 he has like 15 classic projects, outdoing most artist full discographies

You wanna talk math how many of them albums made any noise?
How many of Hovs?

Ur right it’s Pac historically but drakes run has been so long that i had to give him an edge
Eh I’m not saying I disagree but they’re so close it’s kinda semantics to think it’s laughable to say the answer is Jay. Plus Jay’s quotables are more quoted than Drake’s
I disagree w that tho
Jay’s quotables are harder, more grown up
But drake definitely gets quoted w the frequency of a modern day Shakespeare

Biggie just as quotable as Pac
I disagree w that tho

No he doesn’t
You wanna talk math how many of them albums made any noise?
How many of Hovs?
I mean there’s obviously not a debate to be had about their impact long term
But Hov has 13 that made noise
In 2008, DJ Skee hosted the Hamiltonization Process, a classic 8 tape series that all made noise
The next year he dropped Well Isn’t This Awkward which was posted on Kanye’s blog and made noise with the Rihanna samples/concept
9 in 2 years compared to 13 in 30 years, not too shabby
