It certainly doesn’t work based on simply new wins, it’s a cognitive bias so the “historic” element is relevant here. Considering I’ve been listening to each track over and over since they’ve dropped you’d think I can give an opinion without bias. My order of best tracks aren’t in reverse chronological order either.

You’re refusing to believe that it says right there in the definition itself “greater importance to the most recent event.” When presented with new information, you now twist the definition for it to mean that it doesn’t apply to “simply new wins.” That’s not how cognitive biases work.
