Yea basically when Prince was doing the Batman soundtrack, he wanted it to be a concept album. Batman vs Joker
Prince would be the Joker & do all the more high energy tracks
And he wrote the ballads for MJ to do, MJ being the heroic Batman.
However MJ was still on tour with the Bad album and they were signed to opposing labels Prince with Warner and MJ with Sony so the whole thing fell through and Prince did the whole album himself.
