Why did Drake go for dumb s*** like shoe size or fabricated abuse when hotep, puppeteer , wearing a crown , mike brown comments right there
Nobody wanna hear drake talk about hotep or Mike Brown comments and I shouldn't have to explain why
Cause he's stupid and got ahead of himself. Kendrick had him spooked so he tried to rush him down cause he figured Kendrick was a slow writer which is a foolish assumption.
I also think Drake miscalculated being more popular as being more loved. He found out a lot of people view him as an entertaining commodity even when it’s at his expense. And they didn’t give him the same grace that people will buy into for Kendrick because of how each built their personas and positions in their music.
Yeah but that is starting to change trust me
If he were to get into another beef a lot of people would want to see him knocked down a peg.
I agree, humans are fickle creatures.
Biggie don't have the lyricism to match? u nuthuggers are crazy pac would've also tore his lil ass up ⏸️

exactly. you have good points

It's kinda hard to compare them honestly because the eras are so different and things function differently. at least imo. It's kinda like the NBA goat convo

Not saying people want to hear it but Kendrick hypocrisy or controversial comments is a better angle for any rapper .

Any rapper except the racially ambiguous canadian who's insecure in his blackness and avoids any type of political stance or even racial struggle in his music. Same reason the "rapping like you're tryna get the slaves freed" (which was an attempt at what you're mentioning, albeit a weak one) was cringe

Whether Drake upholds those beliefs doesn’t change he could go at Kendrick for it . Same way I indicated Kendrick being close to Dr Dre while rapping about purity contradicts. Watch the party die and superbowl contradict / the beef starting with a verse on like that contradict
Rappers often contradict themselves on songs especially in a battle it’s still a better angle than shoe size
Push got a much cleaner win over drake in roughly three minutes. Kendrick needed five tracks. I've got Push comfortably over Kenny

He couldn't because beef is a war of narratives. It coming from drake wouldn't hit hard or be as believable because of everything I mentioned. There is such a thing as right message wrong messenger, even during beef
Would be good battles (assuming primes and they're ability to make a hit record out of the diss)
Hov
Nas
Pac
Em
Ludacris
Ice Cube
50 Cent
eminem was something else
if there's one underrated part of his legacy, it's his catalogue of diss tracks, all of them iconic, that mix of mic presence, anger and not taking anything seriously was almost impossible to deal with
ppl try to make it seem like he never took on a big MC ignoring the fact that it was pretty much a shared sentiment in the scene not to mess with dude either out of respect or fear of losing badly

This is also kind of what I was trying to say
Dot would beat Pac and it would get nasty disrespectful for Pac unfortunately. Dot can claim Compton lol and attack that niggas drama “I love all women” era before gangsta rap
it’s like Pac tryna battle the monster he created lol

false equivalencies lol. Drake took the battle away from Euphoria and it was immediately over by the next song drop. nobody knew Pusha was doing Story of Adidon same way nobody knew about MTG which both ended the battle so nah, I disagree with this. Dot didn’t tell Drake to drop 3 songs before his one lol. can’t use different battles with different circumstances to argue whose better. if anything, Dot dropping 3 songs and they all hit as disses is crazy output
Hov got way too much dirt and s*** to clown on lol if you thought Nas was bad imagine how Kendrick could frame some s***.
airing someone's dirty laundry has always been part of beef culture but drake vs kendrick took it way too far and made that the whole point... It stopped being a means to elevate the bars and turned into an end in itself
a lot of those shots were easy jabs, fake personal allegations and shock value type s*** without much creativity... where's the bars man? hov >>>
honestly some of the most creative bars in the whole exchange came from drake, push ups was really good
it was clear that drake and dot had completely different ideas of what this battle was supposed to be and that mismatch is a big reason the whole thing felt kind of ehhh, they weren't really competing on the same terms

Jay literally was about to drop a song about having an affair with Nas wife
come on now bruh
