Albert Grindsteinbruh cmon bruh lol i like this song a lot but i think you not factoring in public perception enough here. not only do you have to beat the other guy but you have to sway the public as well. Otherwise you look like Joe budden going at Drake. He cooked him but if the public doesn't care it might as well not exist.

Kendrick went from speaking on political issues to avoiding it. Thats an angle some would go at for sure . Some would consider some of his moves sellout level or fake when needed the most .

Back in original beefs there wasn’t a billionaire , ad machine , radio push to this degree beef has changed especially with social media era , bots ( used by Drake or his fans ) and so many other tactics . If it’s just the top rappers in the world battle rapping freestyles many people are beating Kendrick

I'm just saying bruh, who else can not only rap with you lyrically and technically (or at least close), but can also make a hit song against you, sway the public against you, hit you conceptually, get serious with you, clown you, over any type of production, using any type of vocal inflection, is culturally relevant enough, has the catalog, doesn't have any meaningful dirt on him, can take his time or bombard you at will, etc?
Again, he's not impossible to beat, but look at how many boxes he checks off.

A lot of what you list here is based on popularity and favoritism . The recency bias of the beef means no one so it isn’t that good of a discussion. When you remove potential favoritism, machine and it’s just focused on battle rap it’s Closer than you think .
