TDE is major lol they thinking there is dirt on krit of not getting big

They give TDE so little credit in the creative freedom they give Kendrick that others do not have

I mean they were able to take Gaga off BDKMV which on paper any label would be up in arms about and even stop album releases

Lady Gaga, the biggest pop artist of that time was turned down by a moderately upcoming rapper and the label let it slide. That says something

in 2016 he decided to go independent and only signed distribution deals like Cole and Kendrick just did. He owns all his s*** which is great for him but obviously he wasnt some huge rapper before that

Yeah he never was able to catch one. I Got This and Country S*** had some buzz but he was never able to make a Work Out or Can’t Get Enough to really put him in front of a lot of people like that. He could’ve just been too southern for a lot of people but he’s one of the modern greats imo

if you don't mind, how does this sound to you?

Sounds like Chingy But yeah, this also a bit too much for me. I don't mind Outkast, I think Krit's deeper voice with that heavy drawl is just unappealing to me

Wish more rappers from the early 2000s got the freedom Kendrick did to create . Rap scene would be in an infinitely spot and many more would still be alive . Rap game is the way it is because of greed by white men often

    Can you listen to UGK?

  • Classique

Krit’s accent is weird? Do you listen to any southern rap?

Not much tbh. Mostly Outkast, some Ludacris

  • Classique

    Can you listen to UGK?

I got a lot of blindspots UGK, Scarface, Rakim, Wu Tang, most of Nas discography

You don't think Kendrick has energy and personality? Especially after the beef?

Outside of music? Not really definitely not the level of Pac

yeah Pac would be the hardest, especially considering Kendrick emulates him so much. It'd be like MGK vs Eminem

    Mgk vs eminem is hilarious

    For sure you not lying

Idk if you were into him but XV finally dropped his debut independently that Warner wouldn’t let him drop and at one point he was a peer of Cole, Kendrick, Mac, Sean and them

Idk if he would’ve ever reached there levels but not having a debut sure as hell didn’t help

  • CRACKASTEPPAVEGAN

Yeah, even back when he had some drama with Common, it was squashed pretty quickly.

On the other side, no one seen Common dropping the B**** in You so I guess it’s possible but definitely unlikely where Andres at in life now

Will give him a listen . Just hate how so many are like “ why aren’t rappers more like Kendrick “without looking at all that guidance that got him there . He made smart choices too of course

Yeah it’s dishonest or missing the full picture

Tbh Kendrick is an anomaly of an artist, a case that cant really be replicated
