I think it is, I believe this the formula Drake should stick with. Similar to Gods Plan and NFW and those songs will last forever. Stay away from the hard bars and focus creating moments like this. He’s at his best when he’s more in the pop/rap lane.
Idk why he had to sacrifice one in order to accomplish another though. Those moments exist on all of his albums. If he did an album dedicated to that style it wouldn’t be as interesting imo
I'll give the "Demos" a pass the same was I give UU a pass.
If you say they weren't official releases and were just demos or songs that didnt make an album, I'll give you that.
But More Life is a studio album with a budget and high end production and features. Drake is on nearly every song. Aside from him calling it a playlist, what made it different from his albums?
At least the didnt give it the full Drake rollout like they did with DLDT.

@Realfam2007 linked the exact reason that makes it different and why it's called a playlist. It's modeled after the OVO Sound playlists. No other Drake album is.
Transitioning from one song to the next....that's typically an album thing.
I said seamlessly transitioned. That's not common on albums, but VERY common on playlists and mixes.

Its common?
Name another playlist I can compare it to.

You're reaching with the transitions thing. 808s, The Ooz and Man Alive by King Krule, Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park are albums that do that, and that's just off the top of my head
as someone who hasn't liked a drake project since IYRTITL, it's a step in the right direction
also the video is lighthearted and fun when the world feels kinda dark. the timing is great - drake has a w with this one
Drake memeing himself never loses. Buy Nike!
Haven’t listened since it dropped but nice to see people enjoy it I guess.
Weird af.
What’s weird?
Coming in a thread about a song to say you havent heard it since it dropped.
You came all the way in here to say that?
Weird.

There’s barely any appealing elements to it, just durks verse which is far too short.
Stop crying loser
Eat a d*** and go outside and get some air.
It's a popular song regardless if you play it or not.

808s does not seamlessly transition every song, so maybe you should relisten to it. Cant speak on the rest of those albums.

You’ve posted on pretty much every page in this thread. Stop projecting.
Just cause a song is popular doesn’t mean you have to like it. Y’all get so mad at opposing opinions

It’s pathetic

Thats true but the harsh reality is Pusha effected that aspect of it. Ofc his stans or loyal ones still gonna rock with Chicago Freestyles etc. Outside of that though that’s mainly all his hard raps appeal to now. The generation in the 30s don’t wanna hear bars from Drake because of that beef, or he’s not saying much new in his raps to gain interest from the older crowd. People in this generation want to feel like they growing with an artist not the same ole same ole. On the flip side, the younger generation doesn’t really care about lyrics or bars so that’s not gonna appeal to them much. Drake can appeal to everyone with more songs like LNCL at this point of his career. He’s really the best in this lane and no one comes close to him.
