It’s very simple. People use critical praise and groupthink to choose what’s good and what’s not to them. If you listen to something more, it’s simply because it’s better to you. This is why I don’t rate rappers like Kendrick, Gibbs, and Tyler very highly. I’m not running their s*** back after the first couple listens

most these guys dont listen to full albums like that so they cant appreciate how an album might be better overall but it needs to be listened to front to back to be fully enjoyed. whereas other albums sound fine just playing a couple songs here or there which sometimes could mean you’re listening to it more overall.
