Two things can be true:
1) Kendrick is one of the best rappers of our generation and has solidified himself as one of the greatest of all time
2) His music and image can be overrated due to people conflating subject matter with quality and the current obsession with the fetishization of black struggle by guilty white leftists.

Yes, he’s not the best rapper ever from the west coast and he doesn’t have those massive all time hits. That said, he’s the best rapper of this generation by a wide margin

Kendrick is my 3rd favorite rapper of all time and I'm damn near 40
With that said, he is overrated. The best of HIS generation IMO, but still a bit overrated
