i have these two guys in particular that i socialize with every once in a while and they ALWAYS stay saying the same s*** to me

one of them is bald and ALWAYS talks about the balding subreddit and then i pretend to give a f***/find it funny

second guy is even worse because he‘ll ASK me if i watched game of thrones EVERYTIME EVEN THOUGH I TOLD HIM LIKE BUNCH OF TIMES and then he starts talking about game of thrones and tries to convince me to watch it

i don‘t see these guys often so i‘m thinking they‘re probably having a lot of social interactions inbetween and probably forget what they talked about to me and stuff but it still gets to a point

same time i feel like if i tell them they‘re repeating themselves to me and i‘m not interested in talking about this, they‘ll get defensive, sensitive and take it as a personal attack or something but idk maybe im projecting

is that normal human behavior or do you just shut up and take it?

It is normal human behaviour to just take it, but it’s also normal to mention casually that you heard about it from them before and naturally switch topics

If you have a playful silly friendship you can just cut them off mid sentence and say you’ve heard it before and everyone laugh about it, but it doesn’t sound like you do so probably just live with it
