Still need to get into him. I can't tell if he can really sing sing.
I really liked that Sonder Son album but most ppl said it was mid
Then I heard his other stuff and didn't like them as much as others do
You really listed Jorja with Doja Cat and PartyNextDoor. I'm so mad at you.
PartyNextDoor can't sing for f***ing s*** stop it
S*** it must be the way A Boogie, PnB Rock, Bryson Tiller, Mariah the Scientist, Doja Cat, PartyNextDoor, Khalid, Jorja Smith, Tory Lanez, and Tyler the Creator be attempting to
What’s wrong with Jorja Smith man
Still need to get into him. I can't tell if he can really sing sing.
He can’t that well but his tone is there. If he puts in the work to actually MATCH the 90s era vocalists outside of just the aesthetic, he’ll cement himself proper.
PartyNextDoor can't sing for f***ing s*** stop it
That’s what STUFF was saying
Oh he's an absolutely dexterous and emotional vocalist.
He's not a good technical singer.
He CAN'T make the music The Weeknd does. He doesn't have the range lol
Idk I'd say Bruno has showcased a pretty wide range of styles. He was doing like piano ballad stuff before the whole funk/retro r&b reinvention and he has been able to nail those styles perfectly. Plus his ability to sing in his head voice and not have to go into falsetto is unrivaled tbh.
I think he is pretty close to Abel skills wise and even better in some aspects as a vocalist.
emmm, head voice is meant to be slightly breathy. Early Drake? lol. nigga I'm done
The notes should resonate clearly.

last one - you're certainly hating if you say I don't have resonance in this
Her diction is awful. She tries to channel the jazz vocal style she admires from Frank era Amy Winehouse but falls short in execution. Great tone though.
She tried to create intimate moments in her album and I think she came off as trying too hard. She's impressively emotive and confident and I don't think she shines as a singer on her debut.
Her vocal fluidity is instantly impressive live though.

That's my point?
You think Jorja Smith belongs in that list? Your ears are embarrassing.
Ari is really good. Snoh is ok

Here’s an example. @hipol

Not breathy and well supported. Breathiness is either used as an intentional stylistic technique or an indication of bad technique.

I'm so tired and unimpressed by the these British girls be singing in cursive. They all be sounding the same. Boring.
lowkey true
i dont actually believe that but Chester one of my all time fav vocalists

Modern singers are so offended at the notion that you need to train your voice. I remember one R&B songstress being taken aback by someone asking her to tone down her SoundCloud R&B style and just try.
Wish I could remember the artist. It was a great interview/conversation.

He's really good but Chris Cornell was better. Both goats tho
