niggas talkin about influence itt
he’s a great rapper, that sound just don’t get radio play. why does that stuff matter when majority of music consumers can listen to whatever they want, when they want
his discography is more than solid, he got great albums. piñata and bandana alone puts him up there, but he has other great records

Rapping often seems like a job to him tbh. Like he just makes an effort to drop his hardest 16 and goes back home. It doesn't really feel like he thinks out of the box too much. But then he has tracks like Got Damn where he has more fun with it. That should be his aritstic direction tbh. A completely weird and mindfuck of an album where he just shows his personality. That would put him a step closer to dudes like Ghostface Killah.
Fake deep af
Exactly. Fake deep beats fake deep every time

mm i’m not into the character thing bc not
many niggas can really do it without being corny
i hear what ur saying but i feel like if i wanted that then i’d go somewhere else for all that
i would love to hear him be more creative but i f*** with the “drop his hardest 16 and goes back home” thing idk lmaooo, that’s kind of a character in of itself
If he evolves artistically I'll be more than happy to see it but if he keeps making Alfredo type projects he'll never be on that level to me.
Even with his current attempt to go more mainstream a Blueprint/Black Album tier album from him seems very unlikely.
his next will dictate the rest of his career
Freddie on a run. I don't care about impact, but I think if he does more things like Gang Signs, 4 Thangs and the Don't Be Mad At Me Remix, he will have enough impact. His next album will reach a wider audience.
The all timers have albums that resonate on a much more impactful level. These just some very good projects nothing iconic or worldwide impactful. No classic songs / hits really
in terms of catalog and talent, he’s def otw
in terms of rap game impact, no, he’ll still be a relatively niche artist
