Most real drake fans are also huge fans of Kendrick and J Cole. What you are talking about is a purely KTT or Twitter way of thinking....a slice of a slice of the population.

A Drake stan like me would love to hear a socially conscious song or two, but I also understand that his identity places him in a bit of a bind. He can choose to say f*** it and do it, but I get why that would prevent him from doing so.

All this dude needs to do on the next album and going forward is continue to grow. His kid is now 3, so I’m sure he has some poignant things to say about how his child has changed or him. That is the one thing he needs to rap about because that’s the biggest change in his day to day life.

We have had threads here criticizing Drake. I myself am very critical of Drake, to the point of certain Drake fans not liking me so don't try and make this into me thinking any thread being critical of Drake is a troll thread.

OP got all the responses he could have wanted from making this thread in the first page. Bottomline, Drake isn't sociopolitical in his music. He's never been and he probably will never be that. We all know this. What else is there to say?

It was really just a discussion topic. I made it open for all to speak about it, and was looking to have serious discussion on it, but then mods moved this to Drake sxn and naturally all hell broke loose.

Look throughout this thread. My tone isn't even one attacking Drake for not speaking about sociopolitical s***. I made the OP in a way for it to not be an attack at all towards him for it. If he doesn't want to cool, he doesn't have to, clearly his career is in a good place because he doesn't.

For everyone who wants to make a thread about Drake but doesn’t want it in the Drake sxn. The smartest thing to do is not include Drakes name in the title . Just a heads up . Not saying it still won’t be moved to Drake but including his name will most likely have it moved .
