thats different imo because a lot of people just didnt really listen to those projects in the 90s but as they did, they gained more and more fame and love and never were really discredited

TPAB has gotten a very divisive response from the mainstream and that never really went away. For rap fans and the internet, its a classic. But many mainstream kendrick fans were heavily disappointed

Fair enough, GKMC is one of those albums that made a lot of noise when they came out. It was getting praised by rappers, critics, fans, everyone.. s*** was an event. Ppl were calling it a classic from day 1.
