Can't wait for people to rip into me for saying this, but I believe the issue of climate change is ever so slightly exaggerated due to people's refusal to acknowledge that the very real aspect of human involvement in global warming is simultaneously just one component of what is going on , while temperature changes were in actuality much more pronounced before the arrival of humanity's earliest ancestors , let alone the dawn of the industrial age

These early changes our ancestors went through occurred over long periods, allowing ecosystems and animals to adapt gradually. The changes we're going through now have been worsening since the industrial period and have gradually gotten worse. People do acknowledge issues about the Earth, take the Ozone Layer crisis we had that was quickly nipped because companies and consumers came together to stop using products destructive to the Ozone Layer. People are refusing to acknowledge climate change because of the economic restraints they are under

    eye contact

Because it’s happening at the same time as a very large amount of other things that are all consequences of increased CO2 emission

man don't even bother educating people on the world wide web, google and knowledge is literally 3 clicks away, he's just being silly

climate change is just the result of a multitude of actions, may them be

    human pollution
    pole shift
    asteroids/meteorites
    natural disasters

you said all this while not even realizing the simple basic fact that those ancestrals changing climates is over thousands of years, not hundreds lol

and we've experienced real changed to climates that we also fixed, such as the ozone

    this is not an alt

They only started keeping organized records about it 130 years ago I read. It might be the first time in 500 or 1000 years as far as we know.

this is true in terms of literal recordings

but we also have ways to look at climate change n abuse through other means such as carbon dating that is concrete evidence, with tangential looser evidence hearsays of personal recording of old citizens

so it is still considered an anomaly that is now following a pattern

which other anomalies have existed before too, like the dust bowl (in the 1800s iirc) which is by itself isolated, or the hurricanes appearing way more n more frequent since the 2000s, which is a pattern that follows other - as simple examples

Even if they eventually acknowledge it they’ll just say it’s happening due to natural causes and not human activity

  • Nov 11, 2024

to the extent that climate does in fact "change" other than that its all rubbish

We used to get several feet of snow every year, now we usually get none. Instead we get forest fire smoke for half the summer.

The ski resort town near me is slowly turning into a mountain bike resort town cause there's hardly any snow. All the hotels are going to have to be retrofitted with air conditioners cause they were built to contain heat in the winter, not stay cool in the summer.

You don't even have to believe the science, just look at the fact that the us navy is gonna spend a trillion dollars moving their bases because they know for a fact the ones they have now will be underwater in a few years. They don't have the luxury to pretend the glaciers aren't melting and the seas aren't rising.

Nobody is even denying climate change anymore lol, evidence is too clear so they’ve now shifted to saying it just has nothing to do with human emissions, in 40 years they’ll admit it was because of humans but that we’re now too late to do anything about it anyway.
