He has timeless pop tunes, but seems like nobody takes him or his music seriously. Doubt anyone would care if he never dropped an album again. There's nothing really unique about him or his music.

He’s stuck to an old school formula that has worked extremely for him, especially since no one else has done it. I don’t use the term legend loosely so I can’t speak for KTT. Once he carves his own lane more he’ll get there, because right now he doesn’t deserve to be in the room with the true legends.

I think nobody would care is a stretch. If he dropped an album this year and if there wasn’t a pandemic....His arena (possibly stadium) tour would sell out in a heartbeat.

i don't like the song, but didn't Uptown Funk do that? Plus he's been having solo hits for ten years. Then he cuts through to some other audiences with tracks like that Gucci feature.

If he drops something original then his legend status will be cemented, his last few big songs relied heavily on nostalgia so if he can pull it with something completely unique to him then I'd consider him a legend.
