Iranians don’t use the same Hijri calendar that Arabs use. Arabs use Hijri Ghamari (lunar) , Iranians have Hijri Shamsi (Solar calendar)

That’s because no matter how hard muslims tried they couldn’t stop persians from celebrating the first day of spring as their new year. The strength of Norouz (persian new year) and the persian language is the reason muslims failed at arabizing persians.
