according to the ATC call the pilot reported icing at -47c before encountering precipitation above a thunderstorm
basically complete loss of lift/control

in the few frames available from the video it looks like the horizontal stabilizer and elevator were gone. so the pilot tried to recover control but in the rapid descent they were simply ripped apart

Just hearing about this. Bruh the straight up nose dive angle that this plane crashed is horrific. I can't imagine the terror the passengers and pilots would have been experiencing man. Miracle no one on the ground was killed.

I have read a lot how pilots say that it is highly highly unlikely that a plane pretty much nosedives
