Mobb Deep, LL, De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, DOOM, Juelz, Nitty Scott, Shyheim, Chi Ali, Busta, Alchemist and Scott Caan, The Hot Boyz, Mac Miller, Chance, Marky Mark, Big L, Cam, Mase, Fabolous, Crooked I, Foxy, Outkast, T.I, The Fat Boys, Odd Future.

All between the ages of 15-18 when they came out.

I mean that too I just didn’t think to debunk it even tho it’s intuitively this makes sense rap is known as a young man game for a reason

These ARE all dif eras tho think OP meant like at once all the new rising guys

Which still like… I don’t think it would be true considering we also have 50 year old up and comers…

  • I don't think the artists are getting younger. I think the subject matter has. Back in the day it was cool to act older/more mature than your age, like u have more wisdom/game than your peers and because of that older folks should take u more seriously. Now the young rappers are acting more their age and only rap about the material/surface level s*** regarding being grown (fucking hoes, taking trips, getting money, and just being young and lit)

Those kids melted their brains on iPad. Short form content and Roblox. They've never actively listened to music in their lives.

i had a friend who's currently 26 and was watching streamers and s***. i hated it. felt like he was trying to stay young and current. i'm too old for kai cenat.

most streamers are 24-30 if not older, it’s not really that weird lol, essay YouTubers stream too now often and they millennials. hard to stream without internet, a setup and allowed time which kids don’t have. I think speed the only popular one out of them that’s still young as f*** cause nigga dropped out and his dad let him pretty much be a bum streaming all day. most these dudes had a college experience and regular broke nigga lives before streaming

The fact that your mind goes to that any time an adult is connected in any way to a teenager at all is pretty alarming I can't lie

because the music industry has been known to be a breeding ground for groomers and pedophiles you turning this around on me? Man watch the f*** out, I’m thinking about the safety of the kids which niggas pushing devil aesthetics ain’t really thinking about cause that s*** is scary to a child’s brain to process on top of the potential of grooming that the industry pushes on these kids even earlier now

rather send my child to a piano camp to learn melody’s and music theory around their peers and trained teachers than place that child’s innocence on the internet for adults like yall to make threads like this keeping up with a 12 year old
    :vlosereave:

got nothing to do with an adults involvement, it’s got everything to do with the context and the fact a thread like this exists. why you keeping tabs on a 12 year old little girl? once you can answer that one we can continue lmfao

entertainers are usually older than their audience. kids def have internet access.

it’s a double whammy because these young acts do need guidance on the industry just like any other profession but it’s cringe when you see them trying to live through the young kids and take all their lingo and s***

yea I don’t know why we live in an era where adults don’t want to be adults and keep up with things in their age group

Crine at bringing up racist Marky Mark and young Mac Miller (like most ppl aint start respecting him til macadelic)

Also 15-18 in 1993 is not the same as a 15-18 in 2020. Also most of these niggas you named didnt have a whole ass career in this age range. The kids today have 20-30 year olds making threads about their “aura” today (kinda creepy) which is what @Valentine kinda touching on.

Versus unless you was living in Atlanta in the know you didnt know about TI ghett-o-vision records mixtapes or who tf TI was until Trap Muzik came out

Like what was said earlier. These niggas still had a list of influences ACROSS ALL GENRES that the current crowd of youngins just do not have, a lot of these young ppl today take up ideas from the same colors and patinas versus everyone you mentioned still having their own distinct sound (albeit a very juvenile version of it. Crine at you mentioning Mobb Deep like that juvenile hell was not wikity wikity wack)
