People historically eat the meat that's available to them , same with spices, herbs, vegetables and fruits (apart of their fauna-flora)

Westerners are used to trading and having big companies curate our consumption of nearly everything in other parts of this world people still survive of what's in their proximity and didn't develop the slaughterhouses/meat industries to make their meat delicacies more mainstream/acceptable to other cultures. We eat beef, in India they're protected and sacred.

True, that theory is interesting since scientists have confirmed the virus spreads way easier indoors than it does outdoors (in sunlight specifically), which suggests it could’ve been worked on under the conditions of a laboratory instead of naturally outdoors.

all cultures have elements which are extremely f***ed up and taboo in the lens of other cultures, stuff like this is really off-putting but it's more because of the framing we're used to.
Like you know how things like frogs legs, rattlesnake, or alligator are eaten in parts of the US? or fish eyes in gumbo? Lots of foreigners think that stuff is sus af too. and this is just food, it's not getting into other cultural facets. while im not trying to endorse or mitigate some of this stuff, sometimes it's hard separating judgement from cultural difference to things which are ""objectively"" (so to speak) messed up.
