Idk... it feels like this is her trying to enforce a version of events so that she can create the case to run again with a full primary season. She'd still be younger than Clinton was come '28 and clearly wants something to do.

She could have easily ran for CA governor like she was pondering over but decided not to right before announcing this book. I don't think she loses anything by wasting time on another campaign. She has no shot imo

This is what I mean. She’s trying to enforce a narrative that counters reality. Why would a VP who ran a historically short campaign and “the tightest campaign of the century” (lol) not create the excuse to run again?

At no point in election night was she even in the vicinity of winning. She didn’t flip a single county or make an inroad Dems could build off

It's stretching the truth because she's talking about the popular vote which she lost by less than %1.5... which would make that statement true. But yeah... popular vote isn't how you win so...

She’s obviously going to run again

There’s a power/leadership vacuum that the DNC seemingly is letting play out without necessarily promoting a specific player

Large part of this book slammed Biden didn’t it?

Not sure why she would do that unless she was looking toward the future and getting excuses published as to why the same outcomes won’t happen again

Biden is politically irrelevant and she skipped the opportunity to distance herself even slightly last year at a time most of the country was ready to move on and more critical of him. Targeting him now is easy. He's retired and has no sway

She was asked point blank on national tv if there was anything she would change about the actions of the admin and she said no. That may have been the correct move for loyalty to Biden, but it was not the correct move for most of the U.S. population who were eager to move past Biden. I think she's overcompensating with this book to create the distance she (and the media tbf) alleges she wasn't allowed to have in 2024

Dem leaders didn't even want to go for Kamala in the first place lol they wanted an open, chaotic delegate fight at the convention to determine it.

It was Biden saying "fuck you" on the way out the door and endorsing Kamala in the 2nd tweet after his dropout that elevated her so fast. I don't think someone like Obama at all was happy about that

  • dems are never winning an election again btw

Uh no absolutely not 😭 she’s terrible

Just saying it’s an open race atm with no guarantees so she’s seemingly figured hey! May as well try again
