I agree I think thats part of why someone would give it a 10 or act like its this holy grail

I gave it a 10 on a whim... I was going to give it a 9 but it felt like 10 today

oh yeah number is just semantics thats not what I was getting at so much as we all expected him to improve upon what he accomplished in man of the moon 2. It wasn't quite magnum opus or perfection on all fronts but had potential to have a different trajectory.

Its a great album though

I agree but I believe most "magnum opus" albums are like that in retrospect

Cudi’s depressed themes always felt really generic to me. I get why you can vibe with that because I have too but it’s always felt so surface level. I feel like just saying “I’m sad” over and over again is so uninteresting, Like why don’t you actually talk about some real s*** that’s making you sad or s*** that you’ve went through that led to this

I might get hate for this but JuiceWRLD is kinda the same thing. I’m not denying either of them were depressed and going through some s*** but they weren’t very good at expressing it through music
