Drake can drop every year because he has other rappers writing songs for him

Kanye and Jay Z have both. Drake used to but doesn’t anymore. That’s why the former don’t have to bring up sales

Are you really saying Kanye has been dropping quality the past decade?

We could talk about the music but what would the point be?

There you have it lol. Yall don’t actually really care about music like that. You’re essentially a twitter pop Stan, only worse cause you’re a grown adult

I think he was saying it ironically because talking about the music leads to a default answer every time. lol

and these people are convinced Kendrick was up at 6am every day since his last one working on Mr. Morale. Carefully crafting each lyric, down to the delivery of every word lol.

Y’all don’t wanna admit it but you’re the NPCs you claim Drake stans are.

Thank you for not engaging in my take on Drake vocals delivery on his recent song while telling me I'm the one who doesn't wan to talk about the music. Then calling me a twitter pop Stan.

You could've engaged with my actual take or
We could've talked about the sample on Housekeeping Knows (Ride Da Stick by DJ Time)
Or Thugs 2020 I Don't Care About My Opps Record
(Where Thugs part from on It's Up comes from)

Because I’m not talking about his recent song wtf lol. Why would I randomly talk about that when that’s not even the topic of the conversation?

You try too hard to sound smart bro.

I don’t think that’s what he was implying.

He was saying both artists are using collab projects to get themselves out of a recent PR disaster (Nazism & Pedophile Claims)

Also, this is the now the third time that Drake has chosen to drop a collab album in the fall after negative reception the previous summertime.

    Summer 2015: Ghostwriting Allegations

    • He wins the beef with Meek, but now people think he doesn’t write his own raps, so he drops a collab album with Future (who was arguably having the hottest summer that year) in September

Summer 2022: Poor Reception of Honestly, Nevermind

    • After CLB was received pretty mixed and then Honestly, Nevermind pretty much got panned in the public sphere, he turns to 21 Savage to drop a more traditional trap-centered collab album in November

Summer 2024: Losing the Kendrick Beef

    • I shouldn’t have to explain the outcome of that situation, but it’s clear that his place in rap was question and his reputation was legitimately damaged, and now he’s turning to Party to drop an R&B album in the fall

It definitely seems like strategy at this point from him. Bounce back from bad PR with a collab album with an artist that people love

I agree kinda with first two points. He did time out those collabs perfectly.

But PND isn’t such a big artist for stain to be removed

I want to talk music when the conversation is about music. This specific conversation we were having was about whether or not the charts are the end all be all

Kendrick could release a 10-track project in 2027 of TV static and these same people would be on here writing think pieces about the “deeper meaning” on track 4 and the intricacies of class inequality in America.

How is it a fake accent nigga have you ever been to Toronto??

why you so fixated on how this nigga talks who he f***s and whether or not his mob boss persona is fake or not ??

yall are obsessed and fix yall mouth to say drake stans are when yall say s*** like this
Its weirder that youre so upset about drake doing all that like its affecting your life 🤣

that accent is fake, Drake wasn't talking like that in 2005. he had a normal toronto accent. i remember back in the early 00s there was a dvd called hood report that did Toronto hoods. Back then you can hear the accent but they def sounded more new yorkish back then. now they got this over exaggerated toronto/jamaican/south london accent.

drake is a narcissist, portraying himself to be a different individual to different people, the absence of a solid core of identify means that it's very easy for Drake to shift into these different personas.

Drake also has 100s of more songs. I think a better metric would be % of streams based on tracks released. I.e. # of songs / # of streams

What's the excuse for Travis outstreaming Kendrick then? almost the same amount of songs on DSPs and Kendrick got 2 of the biggest hits in his career rn
