Why the hell do you need to buy a game when it comes out
Why the hell would you preorder a game nowadays knowing the above s***
You're just as insane that you're complaining about this like 10 years late lmao 🤣
Rent free holy f***
I hardly buy games on release. I don’t preorder games. That’s also r.etarded
$80 games are just now getting rolled out
A video game is an insane value anyway you can play something for 100 hours and pay $80 compared to a movie? Op is genuinely a midwit and I hate annoying loud "smart" people
You don’t know what that word means

well it depends on the game tbh
there are still more linear games even in the major space - and then that isnt factoring in how a lot of major games end up to be broken or hallf assed nowadays. i would kill myself if i bought skull and bones for $80, or i wouldn't feel as good if i bought a slop game for $80 and then its trying to shove cosmetics and dlc down my throat all the time etc.
but im of the mind i only buy games really new and at full price if its a company i genuinely enjoy - like fromsoftware, the monster hunter people etc.
everything else i wait for a sale - which since im on PC now, PC actually has many sales way more frequent than console
and then theres always piracy if you really need too
i do think the general increase is stupid tho, especially since gamnes have way more ways to monetize than games in the past. which is why the inflation argument is stupid to me, because games have already made up that cost and then some 10 years ago in many ways and are still doing it. the $80 increase will not stop all those extra monetized lanes.
but most importantly, the main consumer of any entertainement, pre teens to actual teens, will be barred off heavily since their parents wont be able to afford any of it besides like 1 or 2 titles a year - which can lead to a big hit in gaming in general, like how mobile gaming did - its just going to push teens and young adults into casino hall gacha "free" games and hurt the "traditional" game even more
You don’t know what that word means
I can quote Ludwig von Mises if you want me to dab on you but this whole thread is embarrassing enough

$80 in 2025 is $7 in 1999
You're getting a great deal
@op you need your ass whooped in the subject of inflation
The real reason not to play video games is because they're for children and dumb people
Nintendo's biggest demographic is young adults

Nah, people just like to think they're more important than a person's opinion. There's 5 games on this list I'd consider great
Glad you're having fun but idc bout none of that
If you think it’s worth it, buy it. If not, don’t buy or wait for a sale
But b****ing about people who think MKW is worth it’s value is still b****ing lmao

It’s okay to b****
Personally i wouldn’t pay 80 for anything if it’s not great but with inflation and the rising cost of games i get why it’s up. Games used to be 60 for smaller experiences when 60 had more buying power. I just won’t do it for unfinished games or games that try to bleed you for more money
For any game though there’s ways to save money. Gamepass or straight up just waiting a few months for a sale. Very few games i need to play on release day, they’re usually better after a few months anyway since they patch out some s***
Back in my day we only had the Oregon Trail. And you died of dysentery.
That game was so boring no wonder the schools had us play it
#patientgamer
op is right
I don’t need a game on day 1 or even month 1 or 2, yall can get robbed blind and pat yourself on the back about muh inflation and muh spoilers while I wait for a fine tuned version down the line
Black Friday, summer sales, Christmas, watch it and read reviews to see if it’s worth it, then make a purchase
