It obviously isn’t exactly a chicken but in recent years they have been saying Dinosaurs had fur and s*** that final sketch isn’t too far off given the context of the other animals we know of today looking crazy as hell if they were depicted solely from their fossils

I’m sure people who spend there life studying bones and how they function with the body can determine an animals weight.

Dinosaurs live amongst us today. Birds are dinosaurs. and the soft tissue found is incredibly low, like flakes of tissue or collagen. It's not like we found an organ that proves these animals didn't die millions of years ago

yeah its called shrink wrapping. they only have the bones to go off of so it would be most accurate if they drew the animal as lean and low body fat as possible. also when paleoart started there were a lot of assumptions about dinosaurs like they were all had scales which has still stuck around in the media
