That’s stan talk honestly, as someone who doesn’t put drake or Kendrick in their top five. Releasing albums every 3-5 years isn’t much of a negative for most listeners, and releasing an album every year has helped drake’s sales but hurt his reputation as an album artist. Question of GOAT is a lot more confused than it was 2016-17 but Kendrick is still obv in the running.

Yeah and where did that get him after Pusha was done? Y’all acting like it’s so crazy, Drake could have kept it moving but he chose to put on the gloves for hiphop. I respect it tbh

You're looking at it the wrong way.

In 90s football, if you were a 1 in 2 goal scorer (1 goal per 2 games) you were world class and arguably the best player in the world.

If you did that in the same era as Messi/Ronaldo you are nowhere near.

That's what Drake has done. A lot of artists in the past were studio creations. They weren't the level of artist to give you project after project every year.

You may think this is a choice on Kendrick's part...I highly doubt it is. He just can't do it. He can't make as much good music as Drake.

So in the same era they're not comparable AFAIC. One guy is lapping the others, so there is only one real choice.

Drake releasing an album a year isn’t impressive when the quality has cratered. Obv their sales numbers are impressive, but again, sales isn’t the only factor to consider in determining the goat.

I am saying that him dropping a response wasn't unwarranted or unexpected in this regard because Kendrick has never been so direct in his disses. I don't feel it was him being scared of Kendrick before, simply waiting for him to finally say it with his chest.

Win or lose I think it's something honorable that Drake is straight hip hop when it comes to beefing. He could be Twitter fingers, but you know if someone putting smoke on his name he's gonna return it on wax.

He never was the GOAT rapper so in reality nothing would change. His fanboys may start to actually listen to his work a bit more objectively once they can’t pretend.
