Went to a clinic that primarily served LGBTQ community before, and the nurse giving me everything for the test kept insisting that I do the swab in the ass I kept telling her I ain’t gay and never did any butt stuff, but she would just nod n be like yea sure I just swabbed it in my ear like a q-tip n gave I back to her.

Typically when you go for a screening they draw blood to test for hepatitis and HIV .

However they don’t test herpes because if you have had a herpes cold sore before (very common), you will pop positive for genital herpes even if you never had an infection in that area at all.

They prefer to wait until you experience a herpes outbreak, in which upon visual inspection , they will determine if it is in fact a herpes infection .

I literally read the fine print of my planned parenthood paper that explained all this , maybe you should read more or something idk

Depends on how much you pay/ where you get tested, some do it n 15 minutes but results can come back like that or 2 days.
