Yeah that has site has some hateful people. Corporate how? Idk. She puts a lot into her craft so idk how she's painted as soulless either.

At its core, her sound is the same but she basically changes every project. this one is by far her most layered and the one with the most instruments. Her og sound was just her and guitar.

But as she went on she started adding more to her work. more genre fusions, It got jazzier and more complex. she started playing piano and somehow mastered it in a super short amount of time like how fela mastered the sax in like 3 months. her voice has been amazing from the jump tho. she even got some lo fi hip hop stuff now. Her range is incredible and u can never really guess where shes gonna go next

Her live albums are just as important as her studio albums. The are all different from eachother and she has her own sets of standards that she remixes over and over. Its incredible every f***ing time. even her ig lives are essential listening.

If u want an album with a full ensemble like this, i suggest her live album pneuma. Its some god tier level music. Sounds like it belongs in some type of artsy meditative samurai movie.

id say her best barebones album is 0. Its her first masterpiece imo. then after that listen to the live album 0% which adds ambient, field recording, and spoken word elements to the music. It adds a whole new dreamy dimension to the songs.

I never really took her seriously until last year, thought she was another one of those rym meme artists. She's really talented.

This album is so good

I only got into her like a year ago so qp and 0 are still pretty fresh to me and I might like this one more than those so yeA... really great album

Make sure to peep her live albums as well

Fantano put this in his top 5 crazy how in 2017 it still felt like she's only known in Japan and now she's lowkey going mainstream (slowly)
