As a starting point, you can read the words from California's own governor as a start (I don't particularly care for him but for news/information's sake):
cbc.ca/news/world/los-angeles-immigration-protests-trump-newsom-1.7556863
U.S. President Donald Trump is "pulling a military dragnet" across Los Angeles by deploying and then expanding the role of the National Guard and marines in the nation's second-largest city, according to California's governor.
Gov. Gavin Newsom said Tuesday the use of federal troops in L.A. goes well beyond Trump's "stated intent to just go after violent and serious criminals.
"His agents are arresting dishwashers, gardeners, day labourers and seamstresses. That's just weakness — weakness masquerading as strength," Newsom said during a brief public address.
There are plenty of criticisms to put towards the mayor and governor and questions of what's performative and what's just plain true etc...
But they have both maintained that sending in branches of the military is an extreme overreaction by the Trump admin, while still being a part of the law enforcement process anyway just by way of holding their respective elected positions
In addition to that,

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller’s orders to federal agents to arrest more people without criminal convictions likely sparked the immigration arrests that ignited protests in Los Angeles. The arrests at Home Depot triggered the protests and the escalating response, including Donald Trump’s use of the National Guard. The controversy solidifies the view that the Trump administration’s goal is to achieve a high level of deportations rather than remove people with criminal convictions. The policy increases the legal peril for businesses and immigrant workers.
Stephen Miller Berates ICE Officials In Immigration Meeting
On May 20, 2025, Stephen Miller, the architect of the Trump administration’s immigration policies, called ICE’s top 50 field heads into Washington, D.C.
“Miller came in there and eviscerated everyone. ‘You guys aren’t doing a good job. You’re horrible leaders.’ He just ripped into everybody. He had nothing positive to say about anybody, shot morale down,” said the first official, according to reporting by Anna Giaritelli for the Washington Examiner.

The government admitted in March of this year that they deported someone who was here legally, and stated they did so due to an “administrative error.” It was a really big story.
If you’re falling for republican propaganda this far into the game people are going to call you stupid.

Faith in what? That trump and ice are doing ethical deportations?
What are the other alternatives?
I feel like folks like yall that say “this isnt the way” or “we cant be violent” is reading off the same white moderate script from the 60s that MLK Jr already made irrelevant in his famous letter.
Yall keep saying this fugazy p**** s*** and none of yall are seeing what ICE is or has been doing to these communities.
I live in New York and Jackson Heights has been changed because of the presence of ICE. My friend who lives there says it’s much quieter and less things and food being sold is happening. Bushwick I see way more these f***ers around than I have in the last 5 years total. Seen them nab somebody up violently who was just waiting on the train off Jefferson.
What is the people alternative?
I feel like feds or undercover cops would instigate anyways if they were just marching everyday.
Of course you're the one to reply.

Some people are legitimately disingenuous and are just wanting to be annoying, but I do think there are people who haven't developed that much media literacy yet that are struggling to understand what's actually happening.
There are plenty of issues where if you're only seeing certain mainstream sources that are taking state messaging or police narrative at face value, you're not going to see the civilian point of view of what is being done to the people without power and large platforms/seats in office
Woman tries to get into her apartment that the police is blocking the entrance to, gets shot with less lethals at point blank range
Many such stories
