Tyler was not mocking or making fun of his favorite genre by his subject matter
horrorcore was not f***ing new.
Eminem already did that for almost a decade before Tyler pulled up.
That is not the same as Ian

RZA and Prince Paul and them was mocking hip hop
why am i posting like this?
I was going to ask you the same thing brother
because who cares who has the most plays or popularity at all
real ones already know this about Ian
We bullying Ian out of the genre yet or niggas still caping for this trust fund baby?
in a highschool right now you think both are slapping
We gotta stop and ask why we debating this as niggas five to ten years older than high schoolers
Hip hop has ruined our brains into being subconsciously ageist lol
Who gives a f*** what those dumb ass kids are listening to lol

Although caught my lil sis listening to westside Gunn. I was proud, then found out one of his songs went viral on TikTok and that’s how she knew about it. Was conflicted on that

tik tok is trl for them
I legit feel bad they dont have 106 and park or a mixtape culture to put them on to s*** and dont even know what they missing but communicating that out loud will only breed negative energy as a response lmao. Its f***ed right now
i don’t understand. is there a joke i’m missing out on? how does ian remind anyone of gucci before his contemporaries like yeat or obvious influences like chief keef

When that white boy give school presentations at the end of the semester do he say “brudda” or “brother” lol
And there's niggas with no equity or awareness in the game/culture that use these type artists as quick paydays, not knowing and/or not in a position to care that they're selling out their future and current peers of the genre
That short term finesse is tricking a lotta folks

White boy who sounds southern =! Gucci though
He sounds like a flanderization of Yeat

I can agree with thT tyler kinda showing his own unfamiliarity with that type of music but lmaoo we cant step on his point right now
This might spark sumn

I dont care what those kids are listening to I agree thats why I dont even speak on it
which is also why I am saying why does Tyler care to speak on it as if him speaking on it will lead to any discernible change in an industry that profits from it
If anything tyler comments give Ian more listeners not LESS

Nah this his first narrative as an artist on a big stage. It will have some effect even if its just forcing ian to do a lil sneak line to tyler lol
Im here for what tyler does after that. Tyler starting his next album narrative whether he means to or not

lol its going to gain both of them more listeners with no discernible change to the system
@lightmagic out here looking like Zack From The Six in a Drake thread.

It didn't even be a finesse, niggas either be hurting or think they hurting and seek a piece of themselves
The game is the game

I agree but in Tyler's defense, we all see where hip hop has gone and it isn't even just the fault of the infiltrators of the genre. It's probably tough not to say anything about it.
Because a large point of the interview he spoke about how the songs he grew up on had clear narratives etc etc. There's obviously a lack of effort, people not listening to entire albums or spending very little time with a project before calling it "mid". I think it was in this thread or another someone posted pics of all the great albums released in the mid 2000s/2010s by 20-25 year olds. That's just not happening anymore.

Tyler looks up to Lupe so I whole heartedly get it but on a site that hates on lupe calls him washed and many artist who drop concept albums its difficult to take seriously
