It's crazy that one of the most well-known Memphis tapes from that period has cover art that's basically only available in this quality, you just know there are albums lost to time in someone's basement somewhere
Classic project, classic artist
I wonder if CDs will come back in style the way vinyl (and even cassettes) have.
i found this on the inside of the Mo B. D*** CD. this s*** wild

lmao that fake VHS on the cover with the knockoff Toy Soldiers font
this is absolutely nuts i can’t believe i found most of these (besides Snoop cuz that s*** is pretty common but the packaging is cool)

How much $?
Hope this is just from some dude passing away, imagine dropping off ur old valuable heatrock to Salvation Army just cuz you think you too old

that whole lot was $9
It's kinda funny because 90s underground south music/"phonk" is bigger in Eastern Europe than in America in terms of fanbase
TWIII did a show in Moscow a few years ago and that s*** was live and people knew his songs
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aV1FwLh0mZUThat blows my mind how far music can travel, especially when it's just made for a local scene and would probably be lost to time if it wasn't random archivists digging out of basements and record shops
They love Bones too more than USA does

hopefully they actually work and aren't scratched to death

they’re scratched, but still look playable
i knew you’d fw it heavy
I'm jealous man, this is so f***ing cool. The little booklets inside CD covers are so GOAT and this is probably the highest quality you can get those albums in at this point, love the pics ITT

thanks for putting me on to this group 🙏🏾
i always knew there were tons of no limit artists and albums but i never see most of the artists today, just Master P.
fr bruh most of that s*** was independent cassettes/cds. ik that No Limit was on Universal, but still a lot of these are not on streaming
They just let whoever the f*** upload the albums on streaming with all the money going to the no-names and none to the artists or Master P. Using the Discogs covers, and half of them are my old ass scans

I was overstating a bit, just the inaccurate color ones I did ages ago (too dark) - Kane & Abel, Lil Soldiers, maybe a few more
It's some bootleg ass "On The Low" label uploading the CD rips to DSPs
damnnn

this is prob my fav release so far. literally a gem right here man and the album is just full of bangers
it's also nice that tw3 probably knocks back 100 corny labels a year begging to repress his s*** while keeping a healthy live show fanbase
Has there been any archiving of master tapes from that era?
