DeezedThis how i felt about HNVM
Gave it a single listen, wasnt rocking with it and didnt listen back again for 2 years
It clicked lasted summer for me
My first listen was on Sound 42. Heard the first 4 songs and got turned off. Listened to the full album the next morning after it had dropped. Still didn't care for the first 4 songs but the rest of the album was flawless for me. I've loved it ever since.

You'd think they'd have learned this especially when it comes to Drake who has never really "missed" before. I feel like he gets judged on a completely different scale compared to his peers but the fact that he always makes music that's so compelling that you'll eventually revisit it and likely have a better take on it is a testament to his consistency as a musician.

Totally agree.
With Drake a lot of people go into their first listen of a new album with the mindset 'I hope this sounds like IYRTITL'. Then they get dissappointed it doesn't and call it ass.
