    i can see that

but tbh MOH has kind of a retro electro sound that hits the spot for me lol so i'm biased. hnvm is still good though

This one of the few songs I do like from it (Road Trips)

plus New Bestie, Goose Juice n BBW

Stuck and Amazing Shape are ok

Rest is meh to bad to me

I respect the project overall tho, I don't hate it even tho I dislike most of it

No way you guys heard Liability, Massive, Flight’s Booked, A Keeper and think Mid of Honor could possibly be in the same stratosphere as HNVM i’m sorry

Maid of Honour completes the vision that he had for HNVM and executes it much more efficiently

Virgil would be proud hearing this album

    Damn another +

Niggas really got filtered by the intro song and the 21 Savage propaganda bonus

This is the right perspective to have. After Kendrick and Drake hang it up the genre might be on life support. After them who’s really making event type of albums?

I feel like we got a few young guys who might carry the torch tbh

But they’re not nearly as good as pure rappers
YB probably got the most potential to be the level of superstar to stop the world when they drop
He lowkey has that now, but just needs to refine his rollouts and really slow down his output, so each album feels like a moment in time
Lil Tecca, Polo G, Gunna, Bossman Dlow, Nettspend, SoFaygo, Kenny Mason, we have a lot of people who have a strong future trajectory
Just gotta hope they rise to the occasion

Tecca and Polo G era been over

N SoFaygo became a meme which is almost always death for Rapper besides like DaBaby n Young Thug

Although Tecca still does randomly pop up with another song once in a great while, I'll give em that most def

There’s a lot of younger artists making good music still, but I just don’t see any of them having mainstream monoculture appeal like the aforementioned. Pompeii might be my favorite Hip-Hop album so far this year, but I know that has niche appeal.

YB the only one who really has that superstar it factor that superstar X factor out of the names here tbh

Yeah unfortunately the artists I do think have the "artistic" quality in them, they aren't on the major big 3 to 5 labels that blows every mainstream and are stuck in this weird middle ground, plus Covid tanking them right as they were getting on

Kenny Mason, Mavi, Ovrkast, Draft Day, Yonny and Samara Cyn

It sucks - majors have been moving from Rap, even a lot of street, swag and "underground sound" rappers aren't on majors anymore. They're bleeding us out.
