frustrating situation bc these generic chart chasin ass shaking trap cuts are following up that wonderful album her and her sister dropped in 2020

it had elements of the s*** she’s doing now but had so much more depth, soulful production, pulling from that early Bey sound without being too much (as opposed to now where she’s just straight aping and cosplaying the Bey 2013 rebrand) … it’s mad annoying bc it’s a course correction that didn’t need to be corrected. she fr talented (she produces!) and had the sauce and the perfect image when Ungodly Hour dropped. what it’s turned into is unfortunate

Why should you feel bad for her? She's a grown ass woman that made her own choices. Her songs are not hitting and her image is forced. It's not like she's releasing great music and is overlooked. This is her own fault

not entirely. her label has control over when her music is released. she deadass told her fans on Twitter that she has no idea when the album is coming out despite it being finished and she seemed pretty disappointed when admitting it

when an artist can’t even choose when to release their s***, it’s hard for me to place all the blame on them for how their career turns out. her team is at least partly to blame for this disastrous rollout
