SR-DTC-2021-005 was filed today. People are trying to make complete sense of it, but from my understanding it is to ban the use of them shorting shares they've already shorted and to stop them from kicking the can down the road on their FTD's.

They were resetting FTD by hiding short positions through options trading. That is my interpretation anyway

This should stop naked shorting from here on out. Whether this grandfather's in what they've already shorted or not idk. So we could be heavily shorted once or twice more.

This makes this week even more essential if it leads to a gamma squeeze. They won't be able to stop us if what is stated is true.
