I feel that, he can do what he wants but just wish he had a consistent schedule lol For stories like HxH and Berserk, the story has to finish as a masterpiece for it to be worth such dedication to waiting all life though. I get that fans are willing though but that fanbase will dwindle. When Miura died, now Berserk might lose some of its potential for an ending. Same for DB with Tori. Hoping Togashi pulls through and can finish his.

Mangakas have terrible work culture, but Togashi has had the back problem for years now. I feel like there’s examples of guys stepping back, but idk if anyone off the top of my head with similar issues as Togashi.

Togashi still does all the character inking for example. Dude just loves HxH and puts his body through worse to keep drawing out of his own choosing and passion for the s***. Not like he needs the money.

Been reading this series for about 15 years at this point. The problems were always there, just not as bed or manifested in different ways. I remember the magazine releases for early CA arc being godawful /clearly unfinished and full of scribbles. He’s only getting older, and despite always having assistants he’s still struggled with workload.

I think he should hire a new main artist, and work as both writer and a work manager/overseer , maybe making the drafts, and watching over the main artist closely. But knowing Togashi his pride wouldn’t let him do it.

Really wish he just does this, and once he finishes it came try coming back to drawing with more assistance

I personally did not. It was a weird idea revealing them. Just imagine an ending basically if HxH got cut and those would be it.

I’ve been debating on starting it only because I do have hopes for an anime return which I would really like to see before manga reading

I do have to say though that after reading jjk manga after shibuya that was so exciting I was surprised how much I enjoyed it, so I probably will read hxh soon

HxH is really good, I just never like Gon and his damn crashing out lol. You’ll be surprised with how the story goes from the anime. It’s really cool. And some big reveals too.

Togashi is a goat, you should watch Yuyu hakasho which is his other work. That is in my top 3 animes of OAT and my favorite work of his.

if i'm remembering correctly, the one that he said would the 'default ending' if he weren't able to finish was pretty standard as far as shonen endings go. however, HxH isn't standard so let's hope he's able to reach a more satisfying conclusion lol

Right from where the anime ended would be fine, but to me some of the art is just better looking in the manga. I also prefer the 1997 anime edition over the 2011 edition.

Seems togashi is about close to finishing the chapter. Honestly I wish someone on his ten managed to convince him to switch to full digital. I know he doesn’t like digital, but that’s because he only does it halfway which is a hassle compared to full Manual or full digital. If he had learned fully it would have amazing results for him.
