chrollo being able to level up his ability is wild - and i wonder if stealing those kurta eyes was exactly because of this

he will 100% collide with kurapika and i can see them teaming up (with kurapika using that one-use contract ability).

if i understood correctly, chrollo only needs to steal one of the national treasures - which means he could tell kurapika about that monk treasure that likely killed that chick and is responsible for keeping everybody on the ship

as for the ability he is going for.. no clue. kurapika likely cannot use his chain jail on hisoka and that dude revived himself with a f***ing post-death nen ability and came back stronger so i dunno what works on dude anymore

this funeral is going to be insane considering multiple groups are focusing on it

Yeah, reading back my post i truly wanted tserri to be more involved in the overall plot so ive been wanting to make him a key part in every major plot point lol. Ive seen people theorize it could be kurapika and id be down for that, could be very interesting

I mean, just because he won once after months of planning and having two abiiities that he now has lost forever, doesnt mean that a 2nd round would necessarily go his way. In hxh there are no guarantees unless you have almost endless nen, so chrollo wants to make sure hisoka doesnt have a single chance to survive the next encounter. Of course hes also emotionally invested in killing hisoka more than any other of his adversaries, so that also plays a part

the way chrollo defeated hisoka before was quite unique and reliant on multiple factors - having those specific abilities, fighting in an controlled setting like heaven's arena and being able to utilize his surroundings

he doesn't have the abilities anymore and even if he did hisoka has likely figured out a way to counter that s***. his entire plan to take down hisoka was tailored in a way that only made it work once

and now?

the whale ship is a way more complex and dangerous environment than heaven's arena. you got ALL KINDS of nen f***ery in every tier hisoka is stronger than before and prob learned a few new tricks - so hisoka is a beast AND the way he was defeated before was only possible once (my read on it)

Read a theory that Nasubi is Beyond's child - I quite like this idea, particularly if the timelines match (and they could, considering Netero was speculated to be 120+). Beyond could have fathered him with the previous prince, who may have been a female monarch. This would make all of Nasubi's children both viable for Beyond and eligible to participate in the post-mortem nen ceremony with the urn relic.

it took time for me to figure it out all but another helluva chapter, i wished to see more of dis card game and overall morena, she seems like da female version of tserri personality-wise lmao, also is she basically increasin her power everytime she explains more and more her ability? another fire complex power

There was nothing to ever suggest Hisoka was that guy. I remember a reason why he never fought Chrollo earlier in Yorknew was because Chrollo was always surrounded by 2 bodyguard spiders (which at the time was Pakunoda and Kortopi of all people lmao)

Maybe Togashi proves me wrong tho and this will be actually the arc Hisoka dies which I honestly cant believe yet. Seems more and more like the end of the phantom troupe type of arc

The troupe could jump Hisoka sure, but they're all personally motivated. Chrollo wants to defeat him by himself and as stated in the past Nen fights are not a guarantee due to a variety of factors. Chrollo is seeking a guarantee that Hisoka dies, not a 50% chance, 90%, or 99%.

Though with all the Chrollo death flags I'm doubting there even ends up being another fight between the two of them, there's too many entangled plot points and other areas of conflict for all these parties to run into

Feels more like Hisoka might even just completely miss out on the succession since 2 chapters ago he kinda states that he isnt interested. So Hisoka could just be the initial draw for Chrollo to engage with the mafia and Tserrednich and Kurapika. Atleast I hope thats the case. Seems more interesting than another round of Hisoka vs troupe where Hisoka clearly wont die

Could also be that Hisoka joins Tserrednich side because he sees what a monster he will become Similar to how he kinda helped Gon and Killua because he saw their potential as future nen fighters

So maybe it will end up Hisoka vs Kurapika too

Yeah, Chrollo's whole plan involves direct interference with a key piece of the entire succession happening, so I imagine that happens during complete chaos on the ship

So it's just gonna be everything going down at once and other troupe members probably bump into Hisoka first. On top of people trying to kill the troupe for stealing the treasure. It's just gonna be messy, so I don't see any room for a 1 on 1 happening again, it's just gonna be a hectic mess for everyone in there
