Hi-CYeah I was thinking that too. Sounds a lot better in the context of an album rather than a loosey. Tbh I’m really f***ing with this sound. It’s really weird, when AML dropped I really was disappointed cause I really liked BTI. Now I feel like if I went back to it I’d like it more. I fee like that’s pretty telling of how much my taste in music has shifted in the last few years.
I’m cool with Donald keeping the bars and just doing some neo-Soul type s***. It sounds great and he’s a great vocalist. Liked pretty much everything I’ve heard so far
His rapping voice just puts me off, especially on his other albums and his lyrics were corny. AML is when I took him seriously as an artist, s*** blew me away when I heard Me and Your Mama, I couldn't believe it was the same guy.
This is dope though, seems they worked on making the production more diverse with tighter songwriting. A lot of the sonics on here sound like ear candy. I f*** with this for the most part.

I agree. Dude really has took a 180 in terms of his artistry. I always got love for him because he seems really passionate about all of his endeavors and always seemed hella genuine even when he was a bit more corny. Definitely one of the most talented dudes of our generation
