  • Don't get into some bad habits, you are new to this, adapt until you feel comfortable

I moved out a couple months ago. The place is nice. But recently I feel very sad. I miss my family. And when I visit them, that feeling only gets worse. Especially when I'm alone in the house again. It also doesn't help I barely have time to do stuff besides working, eating, sleeping and repeat.

Anyone who experienced this and how to deal with the sadness?

Find things that make your day enjoyable and turn your house into a place that you love to be

I think this feeling will die down over time

You need to be grounded in something higher than yourself AND other people. Billions of people subscribe to the abrahamic faiths.

Reality is, people and things in life can pass away and also enter in your life anew, so best not to be a branch in the wind looking left and right hoping for things to stay the same

There are other ways to mature though, Im sure, but just reach for the truth, its the best way

It gets better. Living alone is amazing most of the time. You can invite ppl over when you want and have them leave when you want. You’ll get there soon.

Yeah going to the gym again. Hope it works out

Moved out cause I had the opportunity to. Had the money and could get a really nice place in a bigger city. It was also the right time tbh. But now it feels kinda depressing, now I'm mostly alone here. Friends and family in a different city. And when I see them, only feels worse afterwards, missing the old days lol

Think of it like this, now you can make new friends and discover a whole new world in this new city that you have moved into. Going to be tough but make sure you find the right friends who are down to hold it down for you and not just party friends, good luck

are you into any martial arts (bjj, muay thai, etc.) or boxing?

that, sports rec leagues, or some art classes/sessions are a nice way to meet some people and you learn/gain skills

The gym doesn’t help with loneliness, and you won’t prosper at the gym if you’re lonely and sad at the gym, you need more social stuff in your life simply

  • Living alone isn't all it's cracked up to be

this like the opposite of my experience it’s interesting to see some people miss the nest (probably wasn’t raised to be a people pleaser)

I think if you buy some plants for your house, at least 4, you might feel better. I have 6 myself. You don't have to buy them all at one time.

You can get plants (not talking about flowers) for $15-$20 at Walmart or Lidl. Home Depot has a really good selection too for higher prices, around $20 - $50.
Also, go on Eventbrite and see what free events are in your area. Schedule a few of those for yourself throughout the month and expand your network and horizons.
