it went platinum in less than a year lol

How many times platinum is it currently? How did it perform commercially compared to the releases of Kendrick's contemporaries during that time period? What is it's lasting impact?

Gkmc is still on the charts, it is still played. It is an enjoyable listen. This is a classic album. It has reach and influence.

GKMC is also a way more accessible record. I truly feel bad for you all who judge music off of charts and sales.

All imma say is I’ve never heard a nigga bring up how much reasonable doubt sold in a discussion and I’ve never felt the need to look it up

Not all music is meant to be played at parties lol. You just keep invalidating your own arguments.

A lot of y’all are insecure and not getting to it how you should irl so you y’all cling to what’s poppin on the charts to try and fill that hole. As if listening to what’s on the charts makes up for you being a loser irl

Mbdtf was a classic because it was enjoyable, had influence, and was impactful. It delivered messages while still being readily consumable. It ignited careers. It pushed the genre forward.

Outside of rap forums, nobody is saying that Kush & OJ is a classic. I would say it’s more of a cult classic. GKMC and TPAB are already an automatic fixture on ALL greatest rap album ever lists. It’s not a debate with those albums.

    Personal preference is different though.

Actually in “real life” more people consider Kush and OJ a classic than people on rap forums do
