50k for 2 years of college

  • I don't really count car payments as debt since it's a necessary purchase though, but that's probably about 3 years left for me to pay though.

Or it’s crazy how the educational system doesn’t teach proper finances.

Or even more this... crazy how dumb people are with finances in this day and age.

government is getting major bucks because of this debt so why would they NOT want to try to shove 100% of students to college when it isnt best for them at all?

also at my HS at least i learned how to work with money in Algebra 2 (logs, compound interest, mortgage scenarios, ect) and also had a mandatory finance class

think it is taught but some people refuse to learn no matter what is taught

Thanks. What were you planning your Master's degree to be in?

There's a few options recommended by my employer and I'm having a hard time deciding between them...

Systems Engineering - if I wanted to take a more managerial route
    or
Electrical and Computer Engineering (I'd have a concentration in Signal Processing) - if I wanted to take a more technical route

I switch back and forth on which one I want to do pretty much daily

Mortgage is worth it. You’ll make thousands on a house.

  • DVLPR

    Around 60K mostly student loans.

Not planning on paying any of it in hopes that the government will cancel it eventually

Oh for sure, I know it. I haaaaate renting because I'm not building any equity at all, just pissing away money to stay somewhere temporarily. I've got enough saved up for my girl's engagement ring, should have my car paid off this summer, and then I'll start saving for my down payment. By mid next year I'll be looking at homes, I can't wait to own
