In the 44 years that hip hop has been a commercial entity, the list of good white rappers is pretty damn small lol. The cultural gap I think poses too much of a challenge for most white people to excel in rap, and I also think many white folks feel this need to dominate over rap or pigeonhole the sound of hip hop into a very limited category, dismissing anything else that they don't understand/resonate with/like as being "fake hip hop", "mumble rap", etc. Eminem is even guilty of that, and that hypercompetitiveness/need to "control" hip hop ends up hurting their longevities and versatilities as artists
I rock with El-P and Lil Ugly Mane but that's honestly it. I respect a lot of them but I really do not listen to other white rappers that regularly. I used to f*** with Eminem a lot too and he was crazy back in the day but the subject matter just doesn't cut it for me at this stage in my life.
Logic, Russ, MGK they mid tho
I feel for Logic in the sense that it's probably really disorienting legitimately having a black father but being extremely white passing himself. Logic looks whiter than most 100% white people lol, and his brother looks mixed

Swimming is a classic and Chomp 2 an amazing record. Harlow got a lot of really good music and Drake is Drake lol. Em got some of my favorite verses ever like Busa Rhyme. Bronson cool
Cole and Cench
Lil Ugly Mane and Mac Miller for me, both never seemed to feel awkward about being white in their genre, they just went ahead and did their thing

They to me, as well as El-P, just came across as "rappers who are white", rather than "white rappers". The latter make being a white emcee their identity, the former may occasionally note it but just kinda don't care. Like they're respectful and everything but just don't feel the need to make a big deal about it, which I appreciate
Drake isn't white
why are disavowing the fact that not only is he black but also white. This an issue a lot of mixed people face, both sides exist

I never said he’s not black, but he’s also white. You can’t call him either cause he’s actually mixed. For the conversation tho, since he has white within his race, I included him. Simple
