Jay my favorite rapper of all time but he never made GKMC or TPAB

Blueprint is better than both albums bro, all three are classics but let’s not deny all that Blueprint is. And Kendrick doesn’t have a song as good Heart of The City.

Yeah, 5 years is way too long IMO

Kinda everything after 3 years is too long if we‘re being honest unless they announced that they‘re doing a break for a longer time.

It hasn’t even been 4 years since Black Panther

Kendrick's definitely the last truly revolutionary rapper if we being real. No ones been able to make anthems like "alright" which has become the theme song for protest

Kendrick is not some revolutionist artists yall sound corny saying it

It’s not ducking the point. Why does Kendrick need to be consistently active? Maybe he’s gonna keep dropping music for 50 years. Kanye also took significant amounts of time off between projects

You’re also acting like this isn’t a thinly disguised “Drake has a better argument for GOAT” thread, you just used the (bad) examples of Eminem and Nas to try and argue your point so you didn’t get clowned for it off bat

Not really. Drake is the GOAT already just based on all he's done in how little time he's done it. Him being consistent is just the icing on the cake.

I used Nas and Eminem as examples because there's NO REASON anyone still in their prime and making GOAT claims should be getting outworked by those old men lol. That's really all I'm saying.

You can get mad at what I said or don't agree. I knew many people wouldn't agree with me when I made this thread. All I did was ask a question and make my argument. Everyone else is free to do the same and I've been responding to opinions that don't align with mine lol.

Who is else is making social/political records on a mainstream level?

  • This is how we know Kendrick is the goat. Nas dropping shouldn't trigger a kendrick thread

Nas is literally a GOAT himself. The normal response to him dropping g is to get ready to enjoy a 30 year vet kill these young niggas with good mysic.

But Drake stans have proven that they don't care about music lol.

If y’all wanna keep spazzing out tryna make y’all’s best argument he ain’t a goat or he ain’t top 5, go ahead and enjoy y’all selves while you can

Cuz we all know soon as he drops this s*** will be deaded

I don't have him of the GOAT of his generation but he's top 3, easily, whether or not he ever drops anything.

Drake disappeared for less than 6 months and people IMMEDIATELY started acting like his career was over lmao. All that showed was that people were mad he's been running the game for the last 13 years and want him to be done and all the success he saw upon his return showed was that those same people missed him and can't do with him going away even for a little bit.

    Nobody acted like that tho

So we ignore the classics he dropped in the same album - 3 classics to be exact - and decide to say he's falling off cuz of 1 bad song? You can hear how unfair that is, right?

Ratchet Happy Birthday hadn't dropped when people were saying his run was over on 2017 lol.
