    Drake an underrated lyricist

For sure but I don’t think we can stretch it say he’s competing with Kendrick

Kendrick just a better rapper and that’s fine. Drake def needs more respect in that area tho

You are not giving the mvp to someone playing 40 games and if he’s playing 40 games a year then his value is impacted

Dot is basically not playing ball at all year in and year out

Yes but the MVP award isn’t the best player in the league. It’s who has the best narrative.

Yes I’m this case yeah I guess he isn’t the mvp cause he doesn’t have the narrative on his side but his catalogue is still way better than Coles and imo better than Drakes

For context: The real top 5 of this generation is Drake, Cole, Nicki, Future, and Thug.

Damn near any young artist in hip-hop right now is influenced by at least one of them. They all have brilliant and timeless records and songs. Plus, they release music frequently and stay engaged.

Kendrick’s holier-than-thou, “I don’t use a phone for months at a time” act is not only pretentious but shields his laziness with faux wisdom. Go home Kendrick

There are no other writers on 4am, 5pm, 7am, omertà, 2 birds, lemon pepper, FOH drake is rapping bar for bar with Cole, Kendrick, whoever

And that makes his output insane because he doesn’t take a break and is still rapping top tier come on man

  • Dec 23, 2021

Being a GOAT is not entierly about consistency "at all times".

It´s about having a GOAT run when you do it and what Kendrick did is definitely considered top tier releases for his generation. Any top tier rapper can just drop solid albums but still not make it culturally the way Kendrick did

If kendrick is a goat, then it only takes 3 good albums to reach that level

Are travis and carti all time hip hop goats? They have 3 good albums too

No because their music has little to no substance
