The 40 line more disrespectful than anything Kendrick said
line was f***ing wild
Why didn't Drake perform Push Ups, Family Matters, or THE HEART PART 6 live for his Australian brethrens Zack?
Clipse album about to be a classic
I was talking with my friend bout this, if this Clipse album a classic then Pusha has a classic in 3 separate decades lol. Not many musicians can even say that, let alone rappers (probably just Hov)
Better than all of them. The combo of what he revealed and how he structured the track was far ahead of the rest of the songs.

It’s not bullshit
What I said was that he didn’t say anything bad towards him DIRECTLY
You’re saying “the context of what he said about his dad would make him feel bad”
2 different things. What Kendrick said about his dad could hurt him and make him feel bad, but he wasn’t directly mean/sinister towards Adonis.
Thats what makes Kendrick such a outstanding writer and why he got away with walking that fine line without outrage.
He literally said he wish his grandpa wore a condom are you on nitrous
Again what would a grown man have to say against a 6 year old child. How does that give Kendrick extra credit as a writer. I love Kendrick but you got some d*** in you

Which is the one thing I said you could argue for in the first post responding to you. And I also said that, the lyric was mostly aimed at his father, not him. Probably the only lyric you could find that could be interpreted as mean towards Adonis in Kendrick’s first verse written towards him.
I’ll even tag you in the first post to remind you of this point I made. No offense, but your reading comprehension isn’t the greatest here.
If you listen back on the lyrics, there’s nothing explicitly mean or sinister towards Adonis. You could argue the condom line is bad, but that’s mostly aimed at his father.
He basically said “You’re a good kid and I’m sorry that you’re going to grow up with a father who is a terrible human being.” At no point does he directly say “YOU'RE a terrible person just like your father”

Dude I just listened to the song again and I think you just need to take a step back, maybe try to remember when the track first dropped. It’s a dark ass song attacking an entire family, directly or not. He is talking to everyone directly. Do you know how human emotions and internalizing works?

He’s not attacking the entire family, he’s only really attacking Drake. The worst he gets towards anyone else is the Condom line and “Dennis you raised a horrible f***ing person”.
Now I’m not saying that the songs content itself wouldn’t upset the rest of the family, I never said that and never debated it. All I said was that within the lyrics and the writing of it, he’s sympathetic and considerate towards Adonis and Sandra. There’s nothing really scathing towards them. You can say that the juxtaposition between how he speaks to them versus Drake is what makes the song so harrowing. He doesn’t say “You ALL lied” at the end, he said “YOU lied”. If the song was an entire attack on the family, he would’ve made that clear in the last verse like he did everything else.
Now…you could say the tone of the entire song is meant to be backhanded towards the family, but that isn’t explicit and is strictly based on how the listener interprets how he’s rapping it.
Also Kendrick didn’t follow suit. Drake tried to do what Pusha did to him to Kendrick, Dot saw the play and beat him at his own game
So he followed suit? I get why he did it but he still did it
It only took push 1 less than 3 minutes of rapping to end the beef. Kendrick started with a 7 minute song. Kendrick did good work but push is much more sinister
Tick tick tick
Was just savage
Ain’t no way yall liked that mtg song
Last I checked it was out streaming FM, a lot of people like it it’s absolutely legendary when it comes to battle songs
Ain’t no way yall liked that mtg song
as a song-song it's not great, nobody's ever gonna say, " Hey, turn on Meet The Grahams", but Kendrick's whole breakdown piece by piece was pretty amazing
i would say its worse than all of them, i love push but i am a major league soa hater
Interesting, as a huge Drake fan I have to be ubiased and I do recognize the cultural ripple that TOSA will have in music and hip-hop history. Curious why you don’t like it?

mainly because that beyond the surprise you have a son reveal to me its just not a good rap song like when you compare it to something like infrared its like atomic bomb vs coughing baby
but obviously revealing a secret child is a crazy ether that people cling on to pretty justifiably
