Vol 2 is not an indisputable classic. Its not even a classic. 4:44 is a personal classic for you and for everyone else is a good or great album

Vol. 2 is absolutely an indisputable classic and 4:44 is absolutely an arguable classic

  • lol. Songwriting includes production and melodies, so yes Kanye clears by a wide margin just off the first half of career.

Idk how nyt is defining songwriting, but those are conventionally elements of songwriting.

All Of The Lights is one of the greatest songs of all time.

Ye wrote it, regardless of how much of the lyrics he actually penned.

He had the idea and the vision, he put the pieces together. He executed that s*** to how he conceptualized it in his mind.

I keep saying you're mistaking songwriting for lyrical ability when it encompasses so many other things

Ideation and concept is also part of songwriting.

So when Kanye makes the beat for Lucifer or for Heart of the City, that is songwriting.

  • A personal classic for me is Vol. 1

It’s not a personal classic for me. Vol. 1 is a personal classic for me. Vol. 2 is an indisputable classic, there’s no debate
