People complain that they get unfair wages and have to live off of tips but in reality most people who receive tips make more than minimum wage. If their tips don't equal at least minimum wage then their employer has to legally pay the difference.

I don’t leave tips because tipping reinforces the capitalist mindset that restaurants should require their employees to work for tips instead of being paid a fair wage
